Florida Real Estate Commission [FREC]
The Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) is a seven-member group that meets monthly. These seven members are appointed by the governor of the state and confirmed by the state senate.
FREC administers and enforces real estate license law as defined in Florida Statutes Chapter 475 Part 1. The commission also has the power to pass rules by vote which then apply to all real estate licensees in the state of Florida. The rules are contained in Chapter 61J2, Florida Administrative Code. The statute and rules, along with Chapters 455, 215, 120, and 20, Florida Statutes are available under Statutes and Rules.
