Booking the Conference Room

  1. Add the Conference Room Calendar if it’s not already on your calendar.
  2. When adding an event to your Google Calendar, access more details with the “Edit Event” option.
  3. When that appears, find “Add Guests | Rooms etc” on the right side of the page.
  4. Click “Rooms etc” and the Conference Room will appear in the list below. If the Conference Room does not appear in the list, it is already booked in the time frame your event is scheduled for.
  5. Click “Add” and the Conference Room will be booked for you during that time.
  6. Be sure to mark your event as “Private” at the bottom of the details, otherwise the info will be available for all agents to see. 

Office Computers

No password required for computer use, just click enter within password field to access.

Press the source button on the remote control to toggle between ChromeCast and computer.

Please plug in the keyboard and trackpad after each use.

Google Assistant

Control the office with our Google Assistant. Just say, “Hey Google” and follow with your command. Try frequently used commands such as:

  • “Hey Google, play music.”
  • “Hey Google, turn on the Conference Room 2 lights.”   
  • “Hey Google, set the Conference Room 1 lights to 50%.”
  • “Hey Google, dim the Conference Room 1 lights.”

Printer + Scanner

 
Print a document:
  1. Select the print command in your application.
  2. Select MFC-L8900CDW, and then click the printing properties or preferences button. The printer driver window appears.
  3. Make sure you have loaded the correct size paper in the paper tray.
  4. Click the Paper Size drop-down list, and then select your paper size.
  5. In the Orientation field, select the Portrait or Landscape option to set the orientation of your printout.
  6. Type the number of copies (1-999) you want in the Copies field.
  7. Click the Media Type drop-down list, and then select the type of paper you are using.
  8. To print multiple pages on a single sheet of paper or print one page of your document on multiple sheets, click the Multiple Page drop-down list, and then select your options.
  9. Change other printer settings if needed.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Complete your print operation.
  12. To cancel multiple print jobs, press and hold the ‘X‘ for about 4 seconds.

Scan a document:

Use the Scan to Image or Scan to File feature to scan a document or a picture, and then attach the scanned file to an email message.

  1. Load your document.
  2. Press [Scan]>[to PC]>[to E-mail] .
  3. If the machine is connected over the network, select the computer name you want to send data.
  4. Do one of the following
    • To change the scan settings, press [Options], and then go to the next step.
    • To use the default scan settings, press [Start].

      The machine starts scanning. If using the machine’s scanner glass, follow the Touchscreen instructions to complete the scanning job.

       

  5. To scan both sides of the document press [2-sided Scan], and then select the document type.
  6. Select the scan settings you want to change.
  7. Press [Start]. If using the machine’s scanner glass, follow the Touchscreen instructions to complete the job.
 
Copy a document:
    1. Make sure you have loaded the correct size paper in the paper tray.
    2. Do one of the following:

      • Place the document face up in the ADF.

        (If you are copying multiple pages, we recommend using the ADF.)

      • Place the document face down on the scanner glass.

    3. Press  [Copy].

      The LCD displays:

    4. Change the copy settings, if needed.

      •  (Number of copies)

        Enter the number of copies in one of the following ways:

        • Press  or  on the LCD.
        • Press the numbers on the control panel.
      • [Options]

        Press  to change the copy settings for the next copy only.

        • When finished, press [OK]. (If the [OK] button is displayed.)
        • After you have finished choosing new options, you can save them by pressing the [Save as Shortcut] button.
      • [Quick Copy]

        Press > to access the preset copy settings.

      • Current setting indications

        Press the following icons or display area to change these settings for the next copy only.

        •  [Enlarge/Reduce]
        •  [Density]
        •  [Tray Use]
        •  [2-sided Copy]
    5. Press [Color Start] or [Black Start].

     

    Multi-Purpose Tray:

    When you load a different size and type of paper in the tray, you must also change the Paper Size and Paper Type settings in the machine, or on your computer.

    • Plain Paper
    • Letterhead
    • Colored Paper
    • Thin Paper
    • Thick Paper
    • Recycled Paper
    • Bond
    • Glossy Paper
    1. Lift the support flap to prevent paper from sliding off the face down output tray.
    2. Open the MP tray and lower it gently.
    3. Pull out the MP tray support (1) and unfold the flap (2).
    4. Slide the MP tray paper guides to fit the width of the paper you are using.
    5. Load paper with the printing surface face up in the MP tray.
      • Make sure the paper is below the maximum paper mark (1).
      • Place the paper’s leading edge (top of paper) between the  and  arrows (2).
      • When using glossy paper, load only one sheet at a time in the MP tray to avoid a paper jam.
